Serving God At Still Another Church

My pastoral ministry for almost 50 years has been served in seven different congregations including this one (SOV). God, I believe, is now sending me to yet another congregation to serve. As of January 1, 2010, the Synod has found another congregation for me to serve as an Interim Pastor.

These past eight plus years in serving the SOV members have for the most part been some of the very finest years of my pastoral ministry. The "consolidation" was, perhaps, at the top of my ministry experiences!

And even though I will be leaving all pastoral duties and responsibilities to Pastor John, Liz and I will continue to be members of SOV. The plan to participate in as many of the church's ministries as possible such as Seasoned Citizens, Feed the Flock and Shepherd's Kitchen. We plan on living in Sandyville for a very long time - God willing!

Finally, I ask you to give your full support to Pastor John and the other SOV leaders. Pray for them daily, as I will. The months and years ahead for SOV will be challenging! But by the Grace of God, I know that you will continue to fulfill the "mission" that He had in mind for this congregation many years ago.
